Meet the Nerds
Nerds of the West is a group of friends that have been playing board games together for over 10 years. Now they play them for the internet!
Starting as a YouTube channel producing stand-alone board game episodes we have grown to over 8000 subscribers, and have since expanded into regular Live Streams. Our Twitch channel has over 2000 followers and features board games, video games, and everything in between.
Our focus is on Fun & Honest Gameplay and with our custom-made board game studio we produce some of the best board game content on the internet!

Creative & Technical Lead
Favourite game: Battle Star Galactica
Bio: Tom is a lover of messy board states and beautiful mechanics. If a game is throwing a twist on a mechanic Tom will be there to twist it as far as he can to victory, or at least to see how fun it is to lose!
When not coming up with ideas for NOTW he can be found DJ’ing the fastest of Hard Dance Tunes or working in the local TV and Film Industry.

Favourite game: Power Rangers: Heroes of the Grid
Bio: Rhys is our loud friend on the table with a laugh that can put any microphone to the test. Whether designing the set as or helping with running our Merch Department, Rhys is constantly working, designing and crafting things.
When Rhys isn’t playing board games, he can be found playing roleplaying games and retro video games or watching professional wrestling.

Bio: Having cut his teeth in Film Production, Lachlan is the Yin to Tom’s Yang: making sure we stay on task and get things done, instead of just playing games all day long!
With a healthy dose of technical and post production knowledge, Lachlan rounds out the team with his skills in Cinematography and Editing.

Bio: Bec has helped all over Nerds as an editor, on screen talent and even day to day operations of the brand.
You may know her from her solo streams during the week or yelling from the background on our studio streams. Don’t let her accent fool you, she’s as Australian as a meat pie and super proud to be part of such a great group of Nerds!

Bio: Kye is the person who wants to read the rulebook three times before playing to make sure we get things right and then muck it up anyway.
He loves writing and running tabletop RPGs and any game with a Lovcraftian theme.

Bio: When a game day is on the cards, Chris simply looks forward to hanging out with the gang and having a laugh.
He has a creative spirit, editing content for the Nerds YouTube channel and even dipping his toe into game design. Whenever a rules-related question arises during a game of Magic: The Gathering, Chris is sure to be all over the scene!

Bio: Shaune is a major fan of civilisation and city building games. Not only did 7 Wonders begin his obsession with the boardgame hobby, Age of Empires 2 all those years ago cemented his love for video games.
Shaune really enjoys the heavier side of games, chasing those high scoring, perfectly optimised turns and strategies.

Bio: Bri hasn’t submitted a bio yet so I get to say whatever I want here. Bri is the only one of us that can hold a pencil so she has turned her hand to some beautiful artwork for the channel and our merch.
At the table Bri loves singing songs that threaten to get us DCMA’d.

Bio: Billy also hasn’t written a bio so I can say that he is a menace in hidden role games. Maybe it’s because we both love them so much that we clash as hard as we do.
Billy can’t stand love, friendship, or peace and so will reject any game with co-op elements.

Callum is a bit like bigfoot: elusive to the point of being mythical. When we do see him it’s usually for him to show off his latest haul of Magic cards and roll over the competition with a broken combo that cost him a kidney.
